Armed attack by police in Yafes neighborhood of Şırnak's Cizre district left a 20-year-old youth wounded, who soon later lost his life as no ambulance was allowed to the scene to take him to hospital.

In the Yafes neighborhood which remains under fire by police forces, Özgür Taşkın (20) was hit by a police bullet at around 05:00 this morning. Despite repeated calls by HDP deputies, police denied access to ambulance into the neighborhood. Taşkın remained wounded at the scene and lost his life at around 08:30.

While two other youths were also wounded in the armed attack, casualties are being held waiting at the scene.
