Turkish state's police forces continue disproportionate use of force and violence against the people in the Kurdish region. Police bullets have claimed yet another life in Doğubayazıt (Bazid) district of Ağrı.
28-year-old Erhan Tanrıkulu was driving home near Uluyol police station in Ehmedê Xanî neighborhood when special operation police teams stopped him at around 23:30.
The youth reacted to the police, saying; “I am going home. Why are you stopping me?”. Following a debate here, the youth got back on his car and continued driving, upon which police sprayed bullets on the car and left him dead with a bullet that hit him in the head.
The youth's body was taken to Erzurum Forensic Institution for postmortem and will be received by his family and laid to rest in Doğubayazıt following the completition of procedures here.
