An Arab guerrilla in Heftanin

Arab guerrilla Demhat fought in Heftanin.

It was a nice and unforgettable interview. It became eternal not only in me, but also on pen and paper, in the camera, in my eyes.

Now it would become eternal in the open hearts of the Kurdistan and Arab people, in the eyes that see, in the hearing ears. Perhaps it was an interview with a guerrilla that I tried to make sense to most, I struggled with it, and sometimes even joyfully glanced into his eyes.

Next to the codename he received, his name is in Kurdish. There is a city of Kurdistan, the city of Afrin, which is now under occupation and which the YPG and YPJ fighters are trying to liberate every day.

Demhat Afrin. Guerrilla Demhat said: “I can express myself”, despite his broken Kurdish. When I said: "Speak Arabic if you want," he said: "I will speak Kurdish for the sake of my friends Martyr Goran and Martyr Rustem, I feel more comfortable."

Guerrilla Demhat spoke both of the freedom of his own people, the freedom of the peoples of Kurdistan, the children living on the streets, women who are killed every day, even of a section of Turkish people, the lawyers on hunger strike seeking justice.

I keep saying that this 19-20-year-old Arab youth who believes that something is wrong and takes the path of freedom to set it right, knows.

There is nothing in his pouch. A little past life, a little bit of a youth spirit, a little bit of knowledge about the guerrilla, a little love of his land, a little passion for freedom, and of course love!

A pure love that he feels for everything, sees everything in its pure form.

These are more than enough feelings to get someone to fight. It is more than enough for a young person to spit in the face of the invaders… Demhat travelled to the mountains for them, for the Kurdish youth.

His words would come from his heart and reach his people through a small recording machine. This is more than enough to get someone to the mountains!
