HPG Press Office reported that guerrillas affiliated to HPG (People's Defense Forces) and YJA Star (Free Women's Troops) continued their actions in response to the ongoing attacks of the Turkish army.

HAKKARİ

YJA Star guerrillas conducted a sabotage action against Goman guard post in Şemdinli district of Hakkari at 06:00 on September 5, which left one soldier dead. Concurrently with the action, guerrillas also hit the guard post with heavy weapons, but the number of casualties couldn't be verified.

Guerrillas blocked the road between Hakkari's Şemdinli and Yüksekova districts from 20:00 to 00:00 on September 4. Performing ID checks, guerrillas also informed the people about the current process.

The road in Van-Hakkari-Yüksekova triangle area was also closed by guerrillas between 17:30-19:00 on September 5, who similarly performed ID checks and informed the people about the current process.

One soldier was killed in an assassination action carried out by guerrillas against Bêdewê guard post in Şemdinli at 16:00 on September 5. Two more soldiers were killed as guerrillas hit the soldiers that came to the scene after the action.

Guerrillas destroyed a base station located between Bêdewê and Salara guard posts in Şemdinli at 00:10 on September 4.

Clashes between guerrillas and soldiers continue in Gelîyê Doskî area in Yüksekova as Turkish troops continue making efforts to advance in the area.

Cobra type helicopters of the Turkish army shelled the Gelîyê Doskî area from 10:00 till evening hours of September 5. The same day, guerrillas conducted an action against a military convoy that attempted to enter the area at 16:00 in the afternoon, which was followed by a clash between two sides, lasting till 19:00 when Turkish troops were forced to retreat.

Clashes intensified on September 6 morning and lasted till noon. While clashes are going on in some areas, guerrillas hit the Hill Remo and Hill Çete guard posts today.

Troops at Oremar, Şıtaza, Bezelê, Sineva, Hill Remo and Hill Çete guard post intensely shelled Gelîyê Doskî area, as a result of which a fire broke out, which still continues.

Guerrillas carried out an action against Eriş guard post in Hakkari at the border to Zap region of PKK-held Medya Defense Zones between 11.00 – 12.00 on September 5. Eight armored vehicles were hit and damaged in the action. A fire started by the attack caused a huge explosion in the post building, lasting till 19:30 in the evening. The exact number of casualties couldn't be verified though.

HEFTANİN

Guerrillas conducted an action with heavy weapons targeting the Turkish troops deployed around Martyr Kendal area at the border to Heftanin area of Medya Defense Zones between 17.30 – 18.00 on September 5. The number of casualties couldn't be verified.

Two soldiers were killed in assassination actions conducted by guerrillas against Turkish troops deployed in this area the same day.

ŞIRNAK

An action by guerrillas targeted an armored vehicle heading towards Elemun guard post at the border to Metina area of Medya Defense Zones at noon yesterday, leaving the vehicle damaged.

SİİRT

Guerrillas also hit a Turkish troop that laid ambushes around the base station in Pervari district of Siirt at 22:00 on September 4. Two soldiers were killed here.

VAN

Guerrillas sabotaged and destroyed a base station near Hespistan guard post in Başkale district of Van at 21:00 on September 5.

BATMAN

One soldier was killed and one other was wounded in an assassination action against Şikefta guard post in Batman city center on 3 September evening.

Turkish army started an operation in an area between Tıl Hesen, Qermut and Bagas villages of Batman's Gercüş district on September 4 morning. An armed clash erupted in the area as the location of guerrillas was established by a Turkish drone at 12:00 the same day. While guerrillas retreated from the area following the clash, the number of casualties couldn't be made clear.

Soldiers denied access to the local people who wanted to go to the clashes area in response to the operation, and blockaded the area for one day due to the uprising of the locals in villages affiliated to Gercüş.

Guerrillas destroyed two fuel wells belonging to Tüpraş located between Eynel Romi and Şikeftan villages in Batman's Kozluk district at 00:00 on 4-5 September night.

A base station in Tımok village of Batman's Kozluk district was destroyed by guerrillas at 20:00 on September 5.

BİNGÖL

After blocking the road between Bingöl and Elazığ from 19:00-20:00 on September 5, guerrillas performed ID checks on some 400 cars travelling on the route. Guerrillas opened warning fire on a civilian car that didn't stop at the checkpoint and was understood to be carrying plainclothes policemen.

Guerrillas also hit three panzers that came to the scene for intervention at 21:00 in the evening, and forced them to retreat, while also destroying three surveillance cameras in the area before turning back to their bases.

IĞDIR

Turkish jets and 2 Cobra type helicopters conducted an airstrike on Pırekor area of Iğdır between 13.50-14.40 and 21.00-22.00 on September 5. Turkish army also deployed units on some strategic points in this area.

KARS

Guerrillas performed ID check on the road between Erzurum and Sarıkamış district of Kars at 18:00 on September 5, and informed the people about the current process. Five trucks belonging to the Turkish state were burnt down.

DERSİM

A clash erupted between special operation teams and a guerrilla unit in Sipik forested area in Dersim's Mazgirt district at 19:00 on September 5. While guerrillas turned back to their base without any losses, no information could be obtained regarding the casualties suffered by Turkish forces here.

Dersim-Erzincan and Dersim-Ovacık roads remain under the control of guerrillas since August 17.

GUERRILLA WOUNDED IN DERSİM DIED

Recalling the action conducted by two guerrillas against a police station in Dersim city center on September 4, during which one of them, Rêzan Erzurum, fell a martyr, HPG said another guerrilla, Brusk Dersim, who had sustained a critical injury in the action, has lost his life today.
