45th day of hunger strike in Hewler

The hunger strike launched in Hewler against the isolation is on its 45th day. Nasir Yagsiz also continues his indefinite and non-alternate hunger strike.

The hunger strike launched in Hewler (Erbil) city of South Kurdistan to protest the aggravated isolation conditions imposed upon Kurdish People's Leader Abdullah Ocalan continues on day 45. The 23rd group has taken over the protest.

HDP Member Nasir Yagsiz also continues his indefinite and non-alternate hunger strike on his 45th day.

CALL FOR AWARENESS

HDP South Kurdistan Representative Muzeyen Gunes said they will continue the protest until the end: “Nasir Yagsiz has been on a hunger strike for 45 days. His health continues to worsen. We are calling for awareness against the isolation for the UN and international institutions. Hunger strike activists demand an immediate end to the isolation. This isolation with no lawful basis must be ended at once.”

The 23rd group took over the hunger strike after the statement.
