Speaking at the ceremony, KCK Executive Council member Mustafa Karasu commemorated those who lost their lives in Rojava as well as all the martyrs of the PKK; Mahir, Medeni, Munzur, Sorwxîn, Nucan, Şevger, Sılav, who fought for the victory of the June 1 Operation in 2004.

Karasu said the PKK is at the same time the party of the martyrs and the HPG is an army of the dedicated, adding that the liberation struggle in Kurdistan will remain loyal to the memories of all those who fell in this struggle and will definitely liberate entire Kurdistan as a necessity that draws from this loyalty.
Karasu added that through this freedom and democracy struggle, the Kurdish people will also liberate the whole Middle East by pursuing the line of their Leader Abdullah Öcalan.
Recalling that the Kurdish Liberation Movement has today become the hope of the peoples of the Middle East, Karasu vowed to carry the struggle to victory.
