30 youths from Turkey and North Kurdistan have joined the ranks of the PKK (Kurdistan Worker's Party) against the repressive policies of the AKP that have escalated further with the so-called Internal Security Package.

Voicing objection to the AKP policies of assimilation, repression and oppression, the youths issued a statement in which they announced to public their reasons for joining the PKK that has waged a freedom struggle for 36 years.

Commemorating the brave martyrs of the freedom struggle and vowing to be their comrade in this fight, the group of youths said that; "The war in our lands is growing more and more every day, and continues inflicting the severest destruction on the Kurdistan territory."

Condemning the enhanced inhumane policies of massacre by exploitative and imperial powers, the group said; "As the epic resistance of the brave leader, people and guerrilla of Kurdistan goes on in its 36th year, we are joining the PKK movement's ranks of struggle in order to protect the attained gains and to defeat the ongoing policies of genocide and assimilation. The major reason for us making this decision is the policy of destruction and denial pursued by the Turkish national state against the people of Kurdistan."

Remarking that the AKP state which failed to win the war against Kurds in North Kurdistan has faced the very same failure in Rojava Kurdistan in the body of Kobanê, the group pointed out that the determined and unprecedented resistance of the Kurdish people and youth in Kurdistan, mainly in Kobanê, Sinjar and Kirkuk, has manifested and dissolved the global and regional character of colonialism, while the price and struggle of the 36 years has considerably enhanced and improved the Kurdish movement.

"As patriotic and revolutionary youths, we announce hereby that our fight and struggle will continue relentlessly as long as the AKP and sub-contracted gangs remain in Kurdistan", the group said, stressing that it was not possible for them to remain unresponsive and insensitive in the face of the war and inhumane massacres in every single inch of Kurdistan.

The group also called on every caring person to join the PKK ranks of freedom and justice and the honorable struggle against massacres being perpetrated in Kurdistan.
