Hakkari Governorate announced that 30 areas in Hakkari city and its Çukurca, Şemdinli and Yüksekova districts have been banned to civilian access for 14 days, two days before the elections. The ban will last until July 7.

In Hakkari, where several areas had been declared “restricted zone” before, all meetings and gatherings in the city were banned one month before the elections.
