Police and military forces managed to reach the Mala Gel (People's House) in Cumhuriyet neighborhood at around 03:00 midnight but couldn't move further due to the trenches dug by the residents.

Police forces therewith demolished the garden walls of some houses with armored vehicles in an attempt to clear the way for their operation, as they in addition fired intensely on the houses of the residents.
