In an action in Nazımiye district of Dersim on August 27, guerrillas hit the Police Headquarters, District Governor's Office, Government Office, Police Lodges, District Commando Brigade and one base station, which left 16 police dead and three others wounded.

HPG Press Office has released a statement detailing the expansive action which was conducted at 06:00 in the morning.

The attack on Police Headquarters was conducted from two sides, one of which targeted the armored vehicles outside the building, leaving three of them destroyed and many others damaged and unusable.

From one side, Martyr Gabar Revenge Team hit the policemen inside and outside the building. A guerrilla commander that hit the emplacements with hand grenades at close range, as a result of which 5 policemen were killed.

While the guerrilla commander by the name of Fırat Şiyar lost his life here, guerrillas shot dead three other policemen, hit the first floor of the building with rockets, which started a fire. The guerrilla unit also hit the other policemen on the other floors, but the casualties couldn't be verified.

From the other side, Martyr Rojhat Maku Revenge Team targeted the building from another point, which left 4 policemen dead. A guerrilla by the name of Destan Rüstem was wounded and later fell a martyr after hitting another emplacement of special teams with hand grenades.

Guerrillas also hit District Governor's Office, Government Office, Police Lodges, District Commando Brigade and Police Lodges with heavy weapons, as a result of which one member of special teams was killed and two others were wounded.

One base station in the area was also hit and destroyed by guerrillas.

Two guerrillas fell a martyr while a total of 16 policemen were killed and 3 others were wounded in the action which was conducted in memory of guerrillas Cihan, Ekin Van and the patriotic civilians murdered in the attacks by Turkish forces against the Kurdish people.
