11 people killed, 24 wounded by state forces in one day

Attacks by Turkish state forces against civilians in the Kurdish region have left 11 people dead, including three children, and at least 24 others wounded in the last one day.

According to the figures compiled by HDP Law Commission, the crackdown by military and police forces have claimed the lives of 4 people in Yüksekova, 4 in Cizre, 2 in Şırnak and 1 in Doğubayazıt in the last one day. At least 24 others were wounded in the attacks.

GEVER

Four people have lost their lives and at least 20 others were injured as a result of the attacks by police and military forces on Orman, Mezarlık and Kışla neighborhoods in Yüksekova (Gever) district of Hakkâri.

CİZRE

In Cizre district of Şırnak, attacks by Turkish state forces left four people dead, who included two children, one of them aged 7.

Baran Çağlı (7), who got trapped beneath a wall that collapsed during yesterday's clashes, Emin Yanaş (10), Eyüp Ergen (27) and Mesut Sanrı (39) lost their lives during the attacks by Turkish forces which also left three people wounded.

ŞIRNAK

In Şırnak city center, a civilian by the name of Bahri Külter has died after suffering a critical injury the night before when he was hit by a bullet in the back as he sat outside his home. It remains unknown who fired the bullet.

16-year-old youth by the name of Adem İrtegün also lost his life after he got hit by a bullet in the throat fired by police during a crackdown on demonstrators in Yeşilyurt neighborhood yesterday evening.

DOĞUBAYAZIT

28-year-old Erhan Tanrıkulu was killed by police who rained bullets on his car at a checkpoint near Uluyol police station in Ehmedê Xanî neighborhood of Ağrı's Doğubayazıt (Bazid) district at around 23:30.
