Human Rights Association demands release of 62-year-old ill prisoner Tetik

IHD Izmir Branch pointed out that the 62-year-old prisoner Ali Tetik suffers from prostate cancer, mass in the kidneys, high blood pressure, and demanded his immediate release adding that he is not being treated in prison.

The Izmir Branch of the Human Rights Association (IHD) issued a statement online to pay attention to the health condition of 62-year-old prisoner Ali Tekin. Ahmet Çiçek, member of the IHD Izmir Association Prison Commission said: “Çiçek pointed out that Tetik, who is in Şakran No 2 T Type Closed Prison, suffers from diseases such as prostate cancer, mass in the kidneys, high blood pressure.
Tetik added that Çiçek was sentenced to 15 years in prison and has already spent 6. “Tekin has been sent far from his family. He repeatedly wrote petitions demanding to be transferred closer to his family but all petitions were rejected. Stating that Tetik is not being treated in prison, Çiçek said that due to his age and illness, he should be released as soon as possible.
