Edris Mohammadzadeh, a Kurdish civilian from Mahabad, who was arrested by the Ministry of Intelligence on 22 February, remains in detention and his whereabouts are still unknown, the Kurdistan Human Rights Network (KHRN) reported.
Mohammadzadeh was arrested after being summoned by telephone to the Ministry of Intelligence’s office in Mahabad and was then taken to an undisclosed location.
He was arrested without a warrant and has since been denied family visits and access to legal representation.
Despite his family’s repeated attempts to obtain information about his fate, security and judicial authorities have refused to provide any clarification regarding his situation.
