The Health and Safety Labor Observatory (ISIG) published the "February 2025 work-related murder report". According to the report, 121 workers lost their lives as a result of work-related murders in February.
The report underlined that 4 children and 4 immigrants were among those who lost their lives. The report noted that transportation was the sector with the highest number of deaths (22). 17 workers lost their lives in construction/roads, 13 in agriculture/forestry, 12 in trade/office, and 10 in the metal sector.
The report said that Istanbul was the province with the highest number of workers losing their lives in February, with 16, followed by Antep, Bursa, and Antalya, with 7 deaths each. In addition, 6 workers lost their lives in Kocaeli and 5 in Izmir.
