Graffiti of Kurdish youth killed by police won't be removed

Graffiti portraying Kurdish youth murdered by police in 1994 won't be removed.

The chair of the AJZ-Workers Youth Center, who did not remove the graffiti portraying Kurdish teenager Halim Dener, who was murdered by the German police, despite the demands of the police and prosecution, was acquitted.

The chairman of the AJZ Workers' Youth Center, who opposed attempts to remove the graffiti portraying Kurdish teenager Halim Dener, who was murdered by a racist German police on 30 June 1994, was acquitted on Wednesday.

At the hearing at Bielefeld Local Court, the judge closed the case on the grounds that the graffiti was within the rights of freedom of art and expression.
