Fate of Kurdish teacher unknown after arrest by Iranian security forces

Kurdish teacher Arezou Jalilzadeh was arrested without a warrant at her home two days ago and has since been denied family visits and access to legal representation.

Arezou Jalilzadeh, a Kurdish teacher from Sardasht, who was arrested by security forces on 3 March, remains in detention and her whereabouts are still unknown.

The Kurdistan Human Rights Network (KHRN) reported that Jalilzadeh was arrested without a warrant at her home in Sardasht and has since been denied family visits and access to legal representation.

Despite her family’s repeated attempts to obtain information about her fate, security and judicial authorities have refused to provide any clarification regarding her situation.
