“Attacks on human values increased under AKP rule”

Sending the remains of a human being to his family by cargo, as if it was an object, is a blatant attack against the society and human values, said the Platform.

The Labor and Democracy Platform of Amed (Diyarbakır) released a statement on the inhumanity perpetrated against the remains of HPG guerrilla Agit İpek that were sent to his family by cargo.

The statement highlighted the “moral collapse that even denied burial, a fundamental right, for a dead person in a period when an all-out struggle is being given to make human beings live.”

The statement said; “The ruling government has added another one to its policies of social polarization and atrocity that is has long pursued. Sending the remains of a human being to his family by cargo, as if it was an object, is a blatant attack against the society and human values. Instrumentalization of a corpse is an attack against the heart of mothers, social peace and peoples’ will for co-existence in unity and harmony.”

The Labor and Democracy Platform of Amed condemned such practices of the government that incite hatred and urged those responsible to apologize to the family and society, and to launch an administrative and judicial investigation to bring those involved to trial.”
