  Kurdish journalist Deniz Firat was commemorated at her grave in Van. She was one of the first media professionals to report on the ISIS attacks in Kurdistan in 2014 until her death as a result of an attack on Maxmur Refugee Camp.

  Journalist Deniz Fırat who was martyred during the ISIS attacks in Maxmur in 2014 was commemorated in an event held in the refugee camp.

  Deniz Firat was one of the first journalists to report on ISIS attacks in Kurdistan. On August 8, 2014, she reported for the last time by telephone from the front in the Maxmur refugee camp and was hit by a piece of mortar shell.
• Journalist Karakaş denounces violation of rights in prison 

  Journalist İbrahim Karakaş said that their rights in Kürkçüler F Type Prison are being constantly violated, and that they have not been able to access treatment for nearly two years because of the arbitrary decisions by the administration.
• DFG: 60 journalists in prison in July
