Two journalists for DİHABER taken into custody

Dihaber reporters Erdoğan Alayumat and Nuri Akman have been taken into custody.

Two reporters for DİHABER News Agency have been detained by the police in Hatay-Antep border area. The agency stated that Erdoğan Alayumat and Nuri Akman doing their job in Hatay-Antep border area were detained by the police in Antep's Islahiye district last night on the grounds of “complaint” and “reasonable suspicion” against them.

Accordingly, the two journalists have been taken to Islahiye district security directorate and they are being held in custody due to an inspection of their camera records. A person by the name of Nuri Demir who was also detained alongside the journalists has been released.
