Journalist Mehmet Kızmaz, who was taken into custody in Hasankeyf, in the province of Batman (Êlih), was released on Friday.

Kızmaz, who was investigated for "openly inciting the public to hatred and hostility" because of his posts on social media, was referred to the courthouse after having his statement taken at Batman Police Department.

Kızmaz was released by the Criminal Judgeship of Peace.
