DIHA reporter Semra Turan was detained by police in Bingöl on grounds of “spreading terrorist propaganda”.
Semra Turan, reporter for the Dicle News Agency (DIHA) shut down with a decree on October 29, 2016, was taken into custody by police during a house raid in Bingöl province. Turan is accused of “spreading propaganda for a terrorist organization” within the scope of an investigation launched against her.
Turan has been taken to Bingöl police headquarters and will be referred to the prosecutor's office to give her statement on Monday.
