Azadiya Welat daily editor Zeynel Abidin Bulut has been arrested in the main Kurdish city Amed.
Zeynel Abidin Bulut, one of the editors of the Kurdish daily Azadiya Welat was travelling in a car in Amed's Dağkapı area when police stopped the car and performed ID check at around 23:30 last night.
Bulut was referred to Courthouse on the grounds that the prison sentence he had been given within the scope of a lawsuit opened against him was approved by the Supreme Court.
Bulut was later remanded in custody and sent to Diyarbakır D Type Closed Prison.
