Özgür Gündem Editor in Chief Zana Kaya and editor İnan Kızılkaya’s right to defend themselves were violated today during the Özgür Gündem case hearing held in Istanbul today.

In the case where Editorial Advisory Board members Aslı Erdoğan and Necmiye Alpay, editor in chief Zana (Bilir) Kaya and ediyor İnan Kızılkaya are tried, the prosecutor demanded the release of Kaya, Erdoğan and Alpay but demanded the continuation of Kızılkaya’s arrest.
