We miss our mum -UPDATE

The children of Hanım Onur, deputy mayor of Cizre, who was arrested in the so-called Kurdish Communities Union (KCK) operation 16 months ago, demanded the release pf their mother when the governor visited them in their home. Hanım Onur's two children, five years-old Solin and seven-years old Mithat were visited by Cizre governor Şenol Koca after the Turkish Minister for Family and Social Policies, Fatma Şahin said they would take steps to ensure treatment for leukaemia patient Solin. Mithat suffers from epilepsy crisis and needs medical care as well.
Governor Koca also promised Solin she would get the treatment she needs.
The children are currently living with their grandparents. Solin and her brother Mithat called on PM Erdoğan to release their mother. Mithat said: “Last year the Prime Minister said he had missed his mother who was not with him on Mother's Day. Last year, we were also separated from our mother and we couldn't give her a present because she was in jail. We miss her too much”.
Ayşe Yular, the children's grandmother, said Solin and Mithat longed for their mother and needed to be cheered up because they were very sad. “Hanım has been under arrest for 16 months now. We demand her release. She could be tried while being out of prison. Her children need her beside them”.
Remarking that leukaemia patient Solin often had to see the doctor, Yular said that; “The last time we took her to Cizre State Hospital was when she had pneumonia. We first took her to Mardin and then to Diyarbakır fearing that she could have a stroke. She stayed in intensive care unit for some time there".
Minister Şahin's committment to take care of the children's health do not solve the problem. Indeed what the kids need is their mother.

Onur's lawyer Canan Atabay has presented a letter of application to Diyarbakır 7th High Criminal Court on Monday demanding that her client is released to take care of her five years-old leukaemia patient daughter Solin and her son Mithat who has epilepsy.

Atabay remarked in the letter of application that Solin has been having behavior disorders due to psychological trauma and that she has recently not responded to treatment.
