KCK Committee of Martyrs announced that four brothers have lost their lives in the Kurdish struggle for freedom. A ceremony was conducted in the guerrilla-controlled area earlier in the week for the four brothers who joined the guerrilla at different dates and lost their lives at separate clashes.
A brother of four guerrillas, Amed Tekdemir, KCK executive council members Ronahi Serhat and Zeki Þengali, KJB Coordination member Çiçek Dideri, HPG commanders and a large number of HPG guerrillas were present at the military ceremony which was held at Mehmet Karasungur Martyrs' Cemetery for four brothers; Agit code-named Mehmet Tekdemir, Xemgin code-named Ahmet Tekdemir, Küçük Kiriv code-named Þehmus Tekdemir and the most recent martyr Karer code-named Haki Karer Tekdemir.
Making a speech after the military ceremony and one minute's silence, KCK executive council member Ronahi Serhat said the followings; "We have gathered today for a very important and holy reason. Each martyr has a separate reality of a resisting family. The Kurdish people have suffered too much within the Kurdish struggle for freedom. The Tekdemir family joined this struggle as four brothers. This is the first time we are announcing the four brothers and comrades have lost their life. This situation is too heavy for us as well but we need to fulfill our tasks and responsibilities for these great martyrs. The children of Tekdemir family, who were raised with the consciousness and spirit of patriotism against all attacks of the enemy, took part in the struggle for freedom without showing any hesitation. They were comrades as well as brothers. As the comrades and followers of our martyr companions, we are repeating our promise for a revolutionary people's struggle for the liberation of our leadership and Kurdistan, for the unity of all the Kurdish people and the for the destruction of the savage capitalist system in this year when the fate of the Kurdish people is being determined."
Amed Tekdemir, brother of four guerrillas, said; "They did their shares of a task and we have greater shares and responsibilities. On this basis, we promise our people, Leadership and martyrs that we will adhere to their case." The speech was followed by slogans "Martyrs don't die".

KCK’S LETTER TO TEKDEMÝR FAMILY
The letter of the KCK Executive Council and the KCK Committee of Solidarity with Families of Martyrs is as follows; "Our condolences to you and all the people of Kurdistan. On behalf of our movement, we pay our respects and greetings to all members of your family. They are our main source of power, our past, present and future. The truest answer to be given by us in their commemoration will be a free people and a free land. The greatest monument we can build for them is a free Kurdistan which has been ignored and denied so far. This is our single oath that we take every day and that we will never contradict!"
The letter continued as follows; "As the most ancient people of the history, we are facing a sovereign mentality which, regardless of our presence and identity, aims to suppress us as we want to live with out language and culture and demand a free national self determination. Be sure that in line with our martyrs, we will fight until giving our last individual against an enemy which considers all our extended peace hands as weakness, intensifies attacks to break the peace hand we extend and aims to condemn our people to an undignified future. We want it to be known that we will raise this struggle with a great determination and we will fight strongly under all kinds of circumstances to give an ineradicable end to the sufferings of mothers of Kurdistan and to develop a free and dignified life in our land. From our hearts, we believe that the main purpose of the hero martyrs, the struggle to build a peaceful, democratic and free country in line with our Leadership, will rise more and gain the victory with the glorious resistance of our people. On this basis, we once more pay our condolesences and deepest respect and greetings to you."
