SDF: Several Turkish mercenaries eliminated in South East Manbij and Deir Hafer fronts

Turkish occupation forces and their mercenaries continue their attacks on the southern and eastern regions of Manbij, particularly the countryside of the Tishreen Dam. However, the Manbij Military Council dealt heavy blows to the attackers.

The Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) Media Center issued a statement about the situation on the fronts of South East Manbij and Deir Hafer.

The statement said: "Turkish occupation forces and their mercenaries continue their attacks on the southern and eastern regions of Manbij, particularly the countryside of the Tishrin Dam. However, the forces of the Manbij Military Council countered these attacks with remarkable resistance, inflicting significant losses on the attackers."

The statement added: "At approximately 9pm on Friday, Turkish occupation warplanes conducted five intensive airstrikes on the Tishrin Dam and its surrounding villages. The area remains under heavy bombardment, including artillery shelling and surveillance drones, which persisted into the early hours of Saturday.

In an attempt to establish a military base on a hill in the vicinity of Tishrin Dam, Turkish forces transported heavy weaponry and equipment to the site. However, the Martyr Haroun Units successfully attacked the bases, destroying heavy artillery, a Grad rocket launcher, and a convoy of military vehicles. Several Turkish occupation forces and mercenaries were eliminated in the operation, and others fled the area. The exact number of eliminated mercenaries remains unknown."

The statement underlined that "on the Deir Hafer front, the Martyr Haroun Units conducted an attack on a large military vehicle belonging to the mercenaries in the village of Habouba, resulting in completely destroying the vehicle and the elimination of all personnel inside. Meanwhile, a suicide drone operated by the mercenaries exploded in the town of Deir Hafer, causing no casualties or damage. Turkish occupation drones continued to fly over the region’s airspace."

The statement added that "over the past two days, the Manbij Military Council has dealt severe blows to Turkish occupation forces and their mercenaries in the southern and eastern regions of Manbij and the Tishrin Dam countryside. Some 72 mercenaries have been eliminated, dozens wounded, and numerous armored and military vehicles destroyed."
