Relatives of Disappeared Celebrated Kurdish Language Day

Kurdish Language Day was celebrated during the weekly sit-in action organized by Human rights Association (IHD) Diyarbakýr Branch and relatives of disappeared. Indicating that pressures on the Kurdish language must be brought to an end, IHD Diyarbakir Branch Secretary Raci Bilici stated that political parties perform hollow discussions at squares instead of dealing with the people’s important problems.

Making a speech before the sit-in action (weekly protest has reached number 118), IHD Diyarbakir Branch Secretary Raci Bilici made his speech in Kurdish underlining that this is the week of Kurdish Language Celebration. Noting that the Kurdish Language Day is celebrated against the pressures on the language which doesn’t allow the people use and develop their language freely, Bilici added that they hoped a world where all languages can be spoken freely.

‘One more murder is aimed to be remained “unidentified” ’

Touching on the unidentified murders and extrajudicial executions, Bilici noted that one more murder is aimed to be remained unidentified as confidentiality was concluded for the file of Halil Ýbrahim Oruc who was killed in Bismil. Bilici emphasized that one more unidentified murder cannot be accepted while the expectations are for the detection of the perpetrators of unsolved murders in the past, adding they will follow the case and the file as defenders of human rights.

'Political parties are not interested in people’s problems’

Criticizing the arguments of political parties and leaders at squares, Bilici continued as follows; “When you look at the statements of the AKP, CHP and MHP, you will see that they do nothing but to uncover each other’s frauds and meses. These people have expectations from politicians; they have important problems, one of which is the Kurdish problem. However, political leaders ignore these issues. They don’t develop any projects or promises to solve the people’s problems. For this reason, before all of you, I condemn these political parties mentioned.”

Bilici’s speech was followed by a five-minute sit-in act of the relatives of disappeared people.
