Planned chaos in Syria

Turkey is continuing its attacks on eastern and northern Syria and is preparing to expand them into a full-scale invasion operation. Everyone knows that it is the intention of the Turkish state to deprive the Kurdish population of any status and to liquidate the self-governing areas. Turkish state representatives express this at every opportunity. Through open and secret negotiations, they are trying to complete the construction of the political infrastructure and the military preparations for such an operation.
In parallel, similar efforts by the Syrian regime and Russia are gaining momentum instead of stopping Turkey or taking countermeasures. The aim is to put an end to self-rule by taking the opportunity to bring it under control.
As is well known, the agreement signed after the Turkish invasion in 2019 gave Russia the opportunity to move and deploy troops in the self-governing regions from Manbij to Dêrik. At the same time, the regime troops built up positions on Syria's borders. As the Autonomous Administration defends the unity of Syria, it has accepted that the borders are held by the Syrian regime.
Russia agreed to mediate between the Autonomous Administration and Damascus to resolve the existing problems and work towards the regime's acceptance of democratic demands, but no practical steps were taken. Russia left the process in limbo, stating that the government in Damascus was "rigid and unwilling to take steps". On the contrary, Russia tried to hand over the areas where it had troops to the regime and to change these regions in its favor. In addition, Russia continued the Astana talks process and thus prepared the ground for a front against the Autonomous Administration. The Turkish government's strategy of eliminating the Kurdish population and destroying the democratic self-administration was at the heart of these talks and a corresponding front was created in Astana consisting of Turkey, Iran, the Syrian regime and Russia against the Autonomous Administration.
There were and are differences and contradictions between these four states. However, the goal of depriving the Kurdish people of their status and destroying the Democratic Autonomous Administration became the common denominator. In this respect, they are part of a multi-layered strategy to create chaos in northern and eastern Syria. Iran is organizing attacks on the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), especially in Deir ez-Zor, by sending armed groups in an attempt to create chaos and insecurity in the region, wear down the Autonomous Administration and turn this area into a battle front.
Of course, this is not happening without the knowledge of the government in Damascus. The regime is organizing itself both openly and clandestinely among the Arab population. Damascus wants to bring the area under its control by inciting a Kurdish-Arab conflict and fomenting nationalism. The impoverishment of the regions and the deaths of Arab and Kurdish people are accepted with approval. The deaths of hundreds of thousands of Syrian citizens and the flight and displacement of millions of people have clearly not been enough for the regime. It continues to present itself as a savior, as if this destruction had not even happened in the areas under its control.
The plan is to begin with an attack by Turkey on cities like Manbij. Then the Syrian army is set to come and take the city. The coordination of this plan actually lies with Russia. Otherwise, the Syrian government would not be able to do this. Russia also supports this plan and appears to have reached an agreement with the Turkish invaders. Iran is also committed to ending the Autonomous Administration of the region and implementing the reincorporation of Damascus. If Manbij is occupied by the Turkish army and its mercenaries, Aleppo will be in danger. That is why they do not want to allow a Turkish occupation. The aim is to force the Autonomous Administration to face the dilemma of choosing between the Turkish jihadist occupation and an occupation by the regime in Damascus or ultimately being attacked by two states.
Normally, the Syrian army was supposed to deploy at the borders and stop the Turkish invasion. It was supposed to fulfill its task of protecting the borders. However, it has become clear that the opposite is the case. Turkey is attacking, but the government in Damascus is putting up no resistance. There have been intensive air strikes, the region's infrastructure has been destroyed, but Damascus has not made a sound. At least they could have turned to international organizations with the problem and stood up for the security of their borders. The Turkish army and its mercenary groups are constantly shelling all border regions with tanks and artillery, killing and wounding people. People are no longer able to work in their fields and live in their homes, but neither Russia nor the administration in Damascus are making a sound.
The Russian side declared that they would bring air defense to places like Qamishlo and Til Temir and asked the Autonomous Administration for support. These requests were accepted, and the necessary support was provided. However, it turned out that these preparations were directed against the Autonomous Administration. In the self-governing areas, the Turkish secret service is organizing itself at will and assassinations by drones are constantly being carried out. So far, no one has heard the slightest objection from Russia. Damascus and Tehran, as well as Moscow, are trying to mobilize the Arab population in particular against the Autonomous Administration by arming and organizing them. For Turkey, the liquidation of the Autonomous Administration and the elimination of the Kurdish people is the priority anyway.
