Speaking at the sit it staged every week by IHD Diyarbakir Branch and relatives of disappeared people, IHD Diyarbakir Branch Secretary Raci Bilici, referring to Prime Minister Erdogan's call to give blessing, said; "If we will give our blessing to each other, you should first find the disappeared people and reveal the perpetrators of the unidentified murders."
The 123rd "Find the disappeared, judge the perpetrators" titled sit in, staged every week by the IHD and relatives of the disappeared, took place this week in front of the Monument of Right to Live at Kosuyolu Park. The act was joined by IHD administrators and members, MEYA-DER, Peace Mothers Initiative, representatives of unions affiliated to KESK and relatives of disappeared people who carried photographs of the disappeared.
Making a speech before the sit in, IHD Diyarbakir Branch Secretary Raci Bilici stated that there hasn't been any development on the fate of the disappeared people despite all the efforts given so far. Remarking that Prime Minister Erdogan' asked for everyone's blessing at his balcony speech after the elections, Bilici said; "The fate of the disappeared people and thousands of identified murders should be revealed first and steps should be taken to ease mothers' pain if we will give our blessing to each other and display a mutual forgiveness. A Truths Research Commission should be established to reveal all human rights violations in the region if we will forgive each other."
‘The new Parliament should see our demands'
Pointing out that a new page should be opened in the country after the June 12 elections, Bilici continued as follows; "After the election, the Parliament is drawing a new shape. We have entered a significant process when the new Parliament needs to see our demands and the election results should be read correctly. For the solution of problems in this country, Kurds still insist on democratic methods. One side of this war, the PKK, once again extended the state of inertia, which is an important opportunity. We once more state that this opportunity shouldn't be wasted and the extended peace hand shouldn't go down the drain. We don't want any more people of this country to die."
Following Bilici's speech, Nurullah Inal told the story of his father Mehmet Serif Inal who disappeared after being kidnapped on 11 October 2005 by some persons claimed to be JITEM members in Kocakent village of Mazýdagý/Mardin.
