My name is Yüksel Ürek.
I am not a statistic.
I am a “human being”!
And I have a story too…
You should know that there is no single story in Roboski that is not made from pain…
I had to leave the high school in the first year when my father became disabled after an accident.
Come rain or shine, I used to go smuggling to be able to make a living for my family. What I mean with smuggling means several bins of oil fuel or a few sacks of rice, not the goods smuggled on huge ships by those who commit great thefts!
This was the way I was trying to survive my eight member family…
The teachers of my sister asked for two liras for fuel expenses of the school. She asked my mother for it many times and each time my mother sent her child empty-handed to school with tears… Do you know what it is like to be unable to afford two liras?!
The moment technological masterpiece bombs hit us corresponds to the time when humanity rolled on into the hole of the lowest of the low!
I heard a sound which ended up with division into hundreds of pieces! They buried us in the same grave with the parts of my donkey’s body…
I really wonder who was the pilot that dropped bombs on us, and if he had a child of the same age with me, or if he put his child into my shoes. Can a father really bomb a child?
My name is Yüksel Ürek. One part of my body was loaded on a donkey. Do you know how old I am?
This may annoy you but I have several words to say;
I demand justice,
If the bombs that killed me didn’t kill the justice too…
Doesn’t everyone have the right to justice?
Or,
Should I apologize to the state because it has warted those huge, expensive bombs for killing me,
Should I thank the General Staff for not missing the target and for killing me!?
