Today is the day of the funerals. Some of the 12 Kurdish guerrillas who lost their life between Friday 13 and Saturday 14 in Uludere, have been buried late last night, some other will be buried today. The show of solidarity and affection for their children was displayed by the people all night long. In Diyarbakir tens of thousands waited on the street to salute the body of Abdulkadir Ay (Kahrman Rodi, from Bingöl) .
In many cities people spent the night outside staging sit in and marches. Many people have been taken into custody in several places.
The names of the guerrillas released so far are: Riyad Berkel (Xebatkar Kobani), Sami Piranoðlu (Dijwar Goyi), Hanefi Aydýn (Berxwedan Malazgirt), Abdulkadir AY (Kahraman Rodi), Adem Aþkan (Canþêr Çempiri), Þoreþ Serhat (Atanur Þahin) and Haki Afrin (Ahmed Þêxo).
Sami Piranoðlu (Dijwar Goyi) was buried last night after his body was taken to Þýrnak. His funeral was attended by thousands of mourners. Sami's mother, Naciye Piranoðlu wanted to make a short speech. "I am proud of my son. - she said - He gave his life for a right cause. He did not become a martyr for me but for all of his people." And then Naciye Piranoðlu added : "Stop before this blood for a moment. How far can we go with blood ? We are brothers, we must see each other as brothers and sisters. My son gave his life for a right cause. . I don't want any more mothers to loose their son. My condolences go to all Kurdistan".
