Three days of mourning were announced on Saturday to honour and salute the 12 Kurdish guerrillas who lost their life between Friday 13 and Saturday 14 of May in Uludere, in the province of Þýrnak. Life came to a standstill in many cities as shops did not open and many workplaces and houses displayed black ribbons and flags.
DÝYARBAKIR
The city shops did not open in many neighbouroods while a march is planned for today at 12.30 from Nisan Özgür Yurttaþ Association. Labor, Democracy and Freedom Block candidate Emine Ayna will attend the march.
ERGANÝ
All shops are reported closed except bakeries and pharmacies.
Black flags are displayed at BDP (Peace and Democracy Party) and Freedom Block buildings.
SÝLVAN
Shops are closed and a march is planned today at 1pm from Gazi Caddesi.
BÝSMÝL
A march is planned in Bismil as well.
ÇINAR
In Çýnar people demonstrating were attacked by police. Many have been taken into custody. Students have decided to boycott the school today.
SÝÝRT
Shops closed and a march planned. Independent candidate Gülten Kýþanak will attend the demonstration.

In Þýrnak town and all cities around life came to a standstill. Elections work has been canceled.
