KCK executive Sozdar Avesta asked the Êzidî people to not fear anything anymore, stated that the YBŞ is with them and called on the youth to join the ranks of freedom. She said KDP used money sent for aiding the Êzidîs for spying activity.
KCK (Kurdistan Communities Union) General Presidential Council member Sozdar Avesta attended the Çira Welat show on ÇIRA TV and spoke on the current developments.
By the beginning of the show, Sozdar Avesta mentioned journalist and YBŞ fighters murdered in Shengal and said: “For the heroism week, first I’m commemorating journalist Nujiyan Erhan and our friend Ferhat. Nujiyan took her place in the ranks of the freedom movement in her young age, when she was a university student. After the 73rd genocide in Shengal, Nujiyan and a group of her comrades turned to Shengal so the pain of the mothers wouldn’t stay hidden and everybody would know the truth, and they worked hard there. For two years, they told the world the truth incessantly. They left a great, valuable legacy to the Êzidî people and their journalist comrades.”
“OUR PEOPLE ANSWERED THE INVADERS ON NEWROZ DAY”
Avesta stated that this year’s Newroz celebrations had more meaning than all the previous ones and added: “Our people are saying ‘êdî bese’ [enough] to invaders now. With Newroz and March 8, Spring 2017 was greeted with resistance. The Êzidî people prepared for March 8 and Newroz with great enthusiasm, but the KDP’s allied gangs trained by the Turkish state attacked the values of the Êzidî people and wanted to shed blood on their spring. Young Êzidî blood was shed by their hand, but the YBŞ/YJŞ fighters and Asayish forces made themselves into shields for the Êzidxan. HPG guerrillas also acted as human shields so blood wouldn’t be spilled. Despite all this, our young Êzidîs were still martyred.”
“KDP’S PLANS TURNED ON THEMSELVES”
Sozdar Avesta said ISIS, Turkish state and KDP attacks are the same and continued: “ISIS was formed by the states who share Erdoğan’s gang mentality after all. Attacking Shengal won’t serve the Kurdish people’s interests, or the Kurdish people’s unity. Especially KDP and gang groups attacking Shengal is unacceptable. Everything they tried to do against the freedom movement has turned against them. The conscious stance of the people voided all their plans. All the young people who were in the Newroz grounds should see this and turn their face towards the freedom mountains.”
Avesta stated that those who demand an answer from their enemies take their place in Egîd's army and said the following for the week of heroism: “Like Commander Egîd-Mahsum Korkmaz had the army of heroes, the youth should take their place in Egîd’s army to avenge the Kemals, Ferhats, Nujiyans and Nazes. Only then can the youth accomplish their mission.”
“WHAT WAS SAID ABOUT THE KDP CAME TRUE AGAIN”
Avesta said the reality of the analyses made by the Kurdish Freedom Movement on the Barzani family after the genocide of August 3, 2014 has been proven once more and added: “After the genocide, the freedom movement said the Barzani family was ready to sacrifice the Êzidî people. The developments today have shown us how appropriate that analysis was. But they have seen once again that massacres can’t end the Êzidî people. That is why they are trying different ticks to pit the Êzidî people against each other. The Êzidî people know their enemies very well by now. And the Êzidî people should know that their enemy is telling them that they can’t engage in politics and they can’t resist, they say ‘who are you to claim you have a religion and a culture’.
“THE MONEY KDP PAYS FOR SPIES IS THE AID MONEY SENT AFTER THE GENOCIDE”
KCK General Presidential Council member Sozdar Avesta said the KDP works to turn Êzidî youth into spies like the Turkish state to pit the Êzidî people against each other, to develop enmity among families and prevent the Êzidî youth from joining the YBŞ. Avesta continued: “Like the Turkish state has worked to turn people into spies in Bakurê (Northern) Kurdistan for the last four decades, KDP today is trying to do the same with the Êzidî youth. They want to pull families towards them in return for money. Because they failed to achieve results through gangs, and now they want to create a divide among the Êzidî people by pulling some families towards them. In return, the Êzidî people should never forget the 73 genocides and say ‘êdî bese’ to these efforts to turn them into spies. Like the weapons sent to fight the gangs have been used against the people, the money sent to aid the Êzidî people has been used in these efforts. For all this, I am calling on the Êzidî people now to take their heads in their hands and think. They should build alliances among themselves.”
“CELEBRATING APRIL 4”
Avesta celebrated Kurdish People’s Leader Abdullah Öcalan’s birthday, April 4, for all Kurdistan people and said: “On this April 4, our people should rush to Amara with the spirit of March 8 and Newroz even more. The path to Amara should be the path to resistance. All women and youth should think of our Leader’s birthday as their own and celebrate accordingly. We should greet April 4 with the spirit of victory.”
