July 24 marked the beginning of the end for AKP

Member of the Military Council of the Free Women's Troops (YJA-Star) Peyman Bagok stated that the July 24, 2005's attacks on guerrilla-held Medya Defense Zones marked the beginning of the end for AKP.
By conducting airstrikes on the Medya Defense Zones on the 25 July 2015, the AKP ended the peace process, which had been started with the efforts of Kurdish People's Leader Abdullah Öcalan, abruptly and pushed Turkey once again into war.
Member of the Military Council of the Free Women's Troops (YJA-Star) Peyman Bagok assessed the issue for the ANF two years after the escalation of war between the Turkish state and the Kurdish freedom movement. She recalled that the Kurdish People's Leader Abdullah Öcalan had commenced a new process in 2013, for the implementation of which towards a Democratic Turkey and a Free Kurdistan a ceasefire was declared on the initiative of the Kurdish People's Leader Öcalan.
Bagok explained that with the announcement of the ceasefire the foundation of a solution for the Kurdish issue was laid, but there were many on the Turkish part that craved for sabotaging the whole process. Bagok recalled that Öcalan had named that force as the "deep state" and said: "Despite the decision of a ceasefire, attacks by the Turkish state were still ongoing, police stations and military checkpoints were built and enhanced non stop. With those acts our movement understood that the government had zero intention to solve the problem. On the contrary, those preparations and practices and airstrikes of 24 July 2015 made it evident that the AKP had absolutely no tendency whatsoever towards a solution."
THE AKP AND THE ISIS ARE THE VERY SAME
Bagok pointed out that The Turkish state never halted its preparations for an all out war, instead increased the recruitment of the so called village guards and made every effort to cut off the guerrilla forces deployed in Southern Kurdistan from those in Northern Kurdistan.
Bagok also stressed that the deep enmity of the AKP against the Kurdish people surfaced for all to see during the genocidal attack in 2014 against Shengal and the attacks that were conducted afterwards also against Kobanê, saying: "For this reason we say that the AKP and ISIS are the very same. Many states had their hands in the creation of this army of gangs, but the biggest zealous backer of this group of thugs had always been the AKP. This meant at the same time commencing a war out of enmity in the Middle East. In a situation and a place, where no force was capable of stopping and fighting the ISIS gangs, it was directly the PKK and the Kurdish people who repelled the force of the ISIS."
Peyman Bagok stated that the AKP has started again a big war, as it made its decision to resort to war once more a long time ago, namely during the meeting of the Turkish National Security Council on the 30th October 2014, adding: "Also the US supported Turkeys inclination towards war. But they wanted to await the elections first. The AKP did not achieve the expected results in the elections on the 7 June and lost the elections. We knew of course that if the AKP had gained the results it counted on, it would have launched a massive attack on our movement and our entire people one day after the elections. It had all the preparations done for this purpose. On 24 July 2015 they finally launched extensive air strikes on the Medya Defense Zones as well as our forces in Northern Kurdistan. What did they aim for with this? Nothing less than the extermination of the Kurdish people as a whole. But it has become more than clear now that the movement of the PKK has not yielded up the slightest, but has become even bigger and stronger."
THOUSANDS OF ÇİYAGERS ARRIVED
YJA-Star commander Peyman Bagok stated that Erdoğan did not expect the sudden urban warfare that took place in 2015 and 2016 and continued: "During that time the people organised themselves with the motto 'Democratic Autonomy' and started resistance under the lead of the YPS (Civil Defence Units) and the YPS-Jin (Women's Civil Defence Units). The truth is, the government was beaten heavily in that urban warfare which witnessed the full support of the Kurdish population. There were democratic people everywhere standing for the PKK. A new perception evolved in the mind of the peoples of Turkey. Despite all special warfare propaganda of the AKP, it was more than clear that the PKK was defending the rights of the people and the truth itself. The people of Turkey could see that.
The best trained special operations forces of the Turkish state available got wiped out during the struggle in the cities headed by immortal martyrs like Çiyager, Zerya, Xebatkar. The resistance of Nusaybin led by comrade Evîn and comrade Xebatkar did not let the police forces of the enemy even set one foot in those areas. The state called in the special forces of its military and tried to enter the cities with panzers. In Nusaybin they suffered a trauma. This rocked the AKP government back on its heels. In Cizre a historic resistance took place led by martyr Mehmet Tunç. Our people were burned alive in basements. This infuriated the people more."
Bagok said, where one Çiyager fell thousands of new Çiyagers arrived, where one Zeryan fell thousands of new Zeryans arose, and added: "What the state hoped for did not happen, instead the total contrary evolved. The wrath, desire of vengeance and the resistance grew ever more. The people saw the truth." She noted that the defeat of the government was evident for everyone to see.
Bagok continued saying that against those attacks on the Medya Defense Zones, the guerrillas gave a powerful reply with their many actions of different tactics, stating: "Within every guerrilla there dwells a strong self-sacrificing spirit. Comrade Zinarîn and comrade Doğa have proven this wrath of the Kurdish youths. Youths headed to the mountains and joined the ranks of the guerrillas in masses."
THE AKP COLLAPSED ITSELF
Peyman Bagok gave following assessment on the so called plan to 'finish off the PKK', which the AKP mentioned countless times in the course of this year: "The AKP itself has collapsed. It educed its very existence from fascism. Its only aim was to wipe out the Kurdish people. For this reason it placed its bet from 2015 onwards on the war. It unleashed its most savage contra units on Kurdistan, attacked with all its technologies that are the world's most modern and sent its entire army to the mountains. The result was certainly no victory. The AKP got defeated and lost. From the 24 July 2015 on the AKP broke its own neck. No matter what the AKP does from now on, its reign is shaking. We the guerrilla force, will bring this reign to total collapse with our extensive actions."
