KCK Executive Council Co-President Cemil Bayık spoke to Med Nuçe television on latest developments in North Kurdistan.

'NO NEGOTIATION OR DIALOGUE UNDER CURRENT CONDITIONS'

Bayık described the attacks on people, funerals, cemeteries and cities in North Kurdistan as ‘heavier than those on Kobanê,’ and called upon everyone to help the resistance grow. The Co-President emphasized that there could be no negotiation or dialogue under the current conditions, and nobody would negotiate with a movement that disarms and demobilizes. Bayık described liberation and resistance as the paths to negotiation, and recalled Erdoğan’s refusal to negotiate. He called upon everyone to spread the resistance and not pay attention to speculations about dialogue, and said that the Turkish state’s only plan was destruction and psychological warfare.

KCK Executive Council Co-President said that parliamentary struggle would not solve everything, and the regime did not favor the solution of problems through democratic politics. The KCK Co-President noted that Erdoğan and his team targeted HDP and reduced its parliamentarians from 80 to 60 through an intervention because it represents democratic forces and resist the AKP. Bayık described resistance mobilization and resistance as the paths to victory, and called upon everyone to liberate her or himself mentally, mobilize, and resist the dictatorship. Bayık described Kurdistan as Turkey’s open-air prison, and called upon everyone to mobilize around the principle of self-defense.

EMPHASIS OF 'JOINT STRUGGLE'

KCK Executive Council Co-President Cemil Bayık stated that children, pregnant women and the elderly were targeted during the attacks on Kurdish people, and the state was aiming to destroy not only Kurdish but also all non-Turkish cultures and people in Turkey.

Bayık noted the state was in an all-out war that has social, moral, economical, cultural, ideological and militaristic components, and self-protection should not be understood only in militaristic terms. Bayık called upon everyone to put up a joint struggle against Erdoğan, who does not recognize national or international law.

Bayık said that everyone who calls herself a Kurd, patriot or democrat should take action against Erdoğan, who attacks Kurdish people ruthlessly and exposes the dead bodies of female fighters on the streets. Bayık described the attacks on people, funerals, cemeteries and cities in North Kurdistan as ‘heavier than those on Kobanê,’ and called upon everyone to help the resistance grow.

'RESISTANCE UPSET THE ‘COLLAPSE PLAN'

KCK Executive Council Co-President stated that there is no option but resistance at a time when the massacres in Cizre occurred, and nobody should ask the PKK to disarm because negotiations could only be achieved through resistance and liberation, not disarmament. Bayık said that the AKP was trying to render the resistance meaningless through its ‘collapse plan,’ but resistance upset this plan despite the AKP’s insistence.

Bayık described the resistance of YPS and YPS-JIN forces as heroic acts that expose the truths about Erdoğan and the AKP in the international arena, and said that the regime did not favor the solution of problems through democratic politics. He emphasized that resistance was the only viable option, and called upon everyone to not wait for a savior but instead mobilize in a spirit of solidarity and sharing.

'ERDOĞAN ORGANIZES KİLİS'

Regarding the recent shelling of Kilis, Bayık stated that the people of Turkey should know that Erdoğan organizes the attacks.

CALL UPON THE SOUTH

Bayık said that the recent meeting between Turkey and Syria in Algeria resembled the meeting in 1975, and called upon Kurdish forces in South Kurdistan to resist the Turkish state’s involvement in the south and deepen the relations with the resistance in the North. Bayık stated that the Kurdishness of a Kurd would be questionable if she or he is silent in the face of the massacres in the North, where the Turkish state destroys cities, massacres civilians and forces hundreds of thousands of people to migrate. Lastly, Bayık noted that the Turkish state sent letters to the KDP and PUK in order to hide its Kurd-phobia and make the West believe that it maintains good relations with the Kurds.
