Bayık: A surprise outcome by HDP depends on European votes

KCK (Kurdistan Communities Union) Executive Council Co-President Cemil Bayık called on voters in Europe to go to the polls for general elections and work in a spirit of mobilization till 31 May.

KCK (Kurdistan Communities Union) Executive Council Co-President Cemil Bayık who spoke to ANF regarding the general elections, called on voters in Europe to go to the polls and work in a spirit of mobilization till 31 May.

Pointing to the support of diaspora people in the Kurdish struggle, Bayık said he believed the people in Europe would fulfill their historic responsibility by voting for the HDP (Peoples' Democratic Party).

Bayık said HDP depended on European votes to achieve a surprise outcome and exceed the election threshold, adding; “HDP will absolutely achieve a great outcome if our people in Europe fulfill their historic duty and responsibility by considering the fact that HDP is the only party to overcome the deadlock in Turkish republic and politics, and build a new Turkey and life..”

KCK Executive Council Co-President stressed that the diaspora people who were forced to migrate to Europe due to war, repression and cruelty should go to the polls should also pay attention to the fact that voting for HDP is the only way to enable them turning back to homeland and lead a free life with their own identity and values.

Bayık remarked that the diaspora Kurds have always remained loyal and provided support to the freedom struggle, and thus enabled it to come to these days, which has also been appreciated by Kurdish leader Abdullah Öcalan.

Bayık also emphasised that no Kurds should vote for the parties other than HDP because of the fact that they are grounded on exploitation which the Kurdish people will never accept, just like they have done so far by refusing all attacks targeting their honour. He noted that Kurds should also organise the other people around them to vote for HDP.

According to Bayık, Kurds, Alevis, Armenians, Syriacs, women, youth and other cultural and religious communities need to play their role very well in these elections and act in mobilization till the ending of voting process in Europe, 31 May. "It shouldn't be forgotten that HDP depends on European votes to achieve a surprise outcome and exceed the election threshold”, he underlined.

KCK Executive Council Co-President stressed that HDP's success also means establishment of democratic nation in Turkey, a new life where everyone can live and get organised freely with their own identity and values, ending of the wat, Turkey's democratization and resolution of all problems through democratic ways.
