The Kurdish Artists Initiative made a statement about the cooperation between the Turkish state and the KDP, which has increased the occupation attacks against South Kurdistan.

Kurdish artist Xelil Xemgin said that the entire Kurdish people, especially the people of Bashur, should take a stance against the occupation attacks.

Xemgin said that the Turkish state continues its attacks on the basis of the concept of destruction against the people of Kurdistan with all its military power, politics, diplomacy, and also with its collaborators, the Iraqi, Iranian and Syrian regimes. He added: "As Kurdish artists, we call on our patriotic people, our Kurdish people and the friends of the Kurdish people. The priority of our people’s agenda is the isolation of the Kurdish People’s Leader Öcalan. The reason of all problems, conflicts and crises is isolation. Due to the growing war and deepening problems resulting from isolation, genocidal attacks continue against the Kurdish people everywhere in Kurdistan. The Turkish state in particular continues this war everywhere. We never accept this isolation against our leadership, and as artists of the Kurdish people, we will support the initiative launched by the friends of the Kurdish people everywhere with our work and actions. Just making statements and condemning it is not enough to break this isolation, it is very important for artists of the Kurdish people to join the initiative in every field."

Xemgin continued: "Today, the Turkish state carries out its attacks on the people of Kurdistan with all its military power, politics, diplomacy and also with its collaborators, together with the Iraqi, Iranian and even Syrian regimes, based on the concept of annihilation. It does this in front of the eyes of the whole world, but no one speaks up. When the Kurdish people are massacred, no one speaks up. As Kurdish artists, we call on our people, especially the people of Bashur. Our artists, intellectuals, Kurdish Peshmerga, should know that the result of the cooperation that the KDP has with the Turkish state today, will not be the withdrawal of Turkey from Bashur. In fact, Turkey's aim is to go as far as Kirkuk and Mosul. The whole world knows this, doesn't the KDP know? Inhumane murders are being committed every day in Rojava and Bakur. They even massacre children. A treason front has been put into action to destroy the Kurdish people."

This war will burn you all

Xelil Xemgin underlined that the Turkish state, which occupied Cyprus in the past and never left, will not leave Bashur lands either. "Those who cooperate with the Turkish state and lead this occupation are traitors. Our people are being massacred every day. The Barzanis are currently supporting the Turkish state. This war will burn you all. Unity means opposing the occupation. Why are you keeping silent? No one should keep silent. This country is our country, the Turkish state has nothing there. The Kurds there are our brothers. It is the country of all Kurds. We Kurds are one. The Turkish state wants to get results from this war it is waging in Kurdistan. The Kurdistan revolution has grown and will grow as the enemy attacks. We send our greetings and respects to everyone. Victory will belong to the Kurdish people. Let's strengthen our unity. This is what we expect from our people as artists. Especially the people of Bashur, do not remain silent against these attacks."
