Second day of Paris Kurdish Cultural Festival

The 2nd Paris Kurdish Cultural Festival opened on Saturday. Paris Senator Rémi Féraud said: "The 10 Arrondissement is the home of the Kurds. It is an honor to host such an event in the municipality."

The 2nd Paris Kurdish Cultural Festival opened in Paris. It is the best place for those who want to discover Kurdish culture, Kurdish cuisine, theater and traditional plays. The festival is dedicated to Evîn Goyî, Mir Perwer and Abdurrahman Kızıl, the martyrs of the 23 December 2022 massacre.

The festival started with a folklore parade from the Paris Democratic Society Center to the 10th Arrondissement Paris City Hall.


The festival, which will host events in various boroughs of Paris with a song by artist and martyr Mir Perwer's voice and photographs of Evîn Goyî, Mir Perwer himself and Abdurrahman Kızıl.

Berivan Fırat, speaking on behalf of CDK-F, greeted the guests in the hall. After stating that the festival was dedicated to the martyrs of Paris, Fırat talked about Kurdish culture.

Many political figures, including Paris Senator Rémi Féraud, Communist Party Senator Laurence Cohen, 10th Paris Council member Elie Joussellin, France-Kurdistan Association President Sylvie Jan, Acort President Ümit Metin, Chaldean institution representatives, Kabul Women's Federation, Actit, and Sarcelles Municipality officials attended.

Making a short speech, Rémi Féraud said: "The 10 Arrondissement is the home of the Kurds. It is an honor to host such an event in the municipality."

In the opening program, Rojbin Paris Govend Team, Meral Alkan and Ulaş Kelaşin took the stage.

The Municipality of Paris is among the supporters of the festival. In addition, the municipalities of Sarcelles and Bobigny provided space for festival activities.

The festival will end on 12 May.
