Mesopotamia Book Fair ends with 500 thousand visitors

The Mesopotamia Book Fair ended on its 9th day. Approximately 500 thousand people have visited the fair, which attracted great interest from surrounding provinces as well as from the city of Amed.

The Mesopotamia Book Fair, hosted by Diyarbakır Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DTSO) and held at the Mesopotamia International Fair and Congress Center, attracted great attention from thousands of people in 9 days. The fair, which started on 16 December, was visited by many people from surrounding provinces as well as the city of Amed.

120 publishing houses participated

The fair, which was visited by approximately 500 thousand people, was attended mostly by publishing houses in Kurdish. There was great interest in Kurdish literature at the fair, which was last held in 2019. Then it was visited by 175 thousand 714 people.

This year 120 publishing houses and 350 authors participated in the Mesopotamia Book Fair.

Zarok MA gave a concert on the 8th day of the fair. Kurdish books were much sold and the panels and autograph sessions by Kurdish writers were all very crowded.
