London Kurdish Film Festival online edition kicks off tomorrow

Summer, time of film festivals, but unfortunately this year most of them will have to be online because of the coronavirus pandemic.
The 11th London Kurdish Film Festival (LKFF) will be going ahead online. The LKFF will open tomorrow, Saturday and will last until the 24 August.
All screenings will be free of charge for everyone to stream from home, anywhere in the world. Adapting to the extraordinary challenges of this year, LKFF will be presenting the audience with a unique programme focusing exclusively on short films.
The films are divided in sections: Beyond Borders, The Struggle Continues, Women in Film, War on Screen, Once Upon a Time in Kurdistan and Children in Film.
At 4 pm there will be the official launch of the Festival and at 5 pm Bare Giran (The Heavy Burden) by Yilmaz Özdil will be the first film from the Beyond Borders section to open the festival.
