Kurdistan is guest country at Durango Book Fair

The 45th Durango Book and Music fair has been started. Kurdistan is guest country in the fair. The main subject of the fair, that opened its doors with 505 novelty, is “erotism”. The 45th Durango Book and Music fair which takes place in Vizcaya (Bizkaia), the North-west part of Bask autonomous region in Spain, has opened on 4 December. The fair that “eroticism” is selected as main subject is going to be continued until 8 December.

Leafs of “love tree”, that tell presence of eroticism in verbal Bask tradition, are opened by actor Joxemari Carrere in Saturday opening of fair that is evaluated as main window of Bask culture. Conferences and round table meetings which handle eroticism with artistic point of view, and erotic workshops appear in the fair activities.

The honour guest of this year fair is Kurdistan. Writers, intellectuals and activists attended to fair from Kurdistan. Eser Uyansýz, who is the one of guests from Azadiya Welat, is going to put emphasize on freedom of expression.

285 stands will be opened in 4 thousand square meter. Hall. 505 novelty will be represented in 138 exhibition. Musician Imanol Urbieta has got prize of Argizaola because of his efforts for Bask language and culture. Urbieta, who born in Zarautz in 1934, is a popular composer that makes folk music in Bask language.
