The Democratic Kurdish Society Centre (DKGZ) in Frankfurt am Main has found new premises at Industriehof. According to the daily newspaper Yeni Özgür Politika, the centre was established as an association in 1983. It has not been possible to find premises for the last three years, so the reopening was celebrated with a reception.

Representatives of the Federation of Democratic Associations of Kurdistan (KAWA), the Amara Women's Council, the Kurdish People's Council, the local PJAK committee, the Association of Migrant Workers (AGIF) and many others attended the opening event. The co-chairs of the People's Council welcomed those present in an address and emphasised the importance of the centre for the Kurds living in Frankfurt. In his speech, politician Mordem Serhed said that the reopening was the result of great efforts and that the aim now was to fill the rooms with content in order to counter the cultural genocide in Kurdistan in the diaspora.

The music group Amargi performed at the reception, which ended with a dance. The new club premises are located at: Am Industriehof 7, 60487 Frankfurt.
