The event started with one minute's silence in memory of all those who lost their lives in the Kurdistan Freedom Struggle.
Speaking here, Westa Resul in the name of guerrillas and peshmergas saluted everyone joining the event, and said the followings: “Artists from four parts of Kurdistan coming together in Kirkuk for guerrillas and peshmergas is of great importance and meaning to us. This scene reminds me of the moment of the Kobanê Victory.”
Speaking after, KNK member Dr. Feyza said: “Our people are being through a historic process. It is time for peoples' self-determination. Despite all the challenging conditions and attacks, the Kurdish people have attained major gains and they will secure these gains with the national congress, the realization of which is what we want the most. Our people demand this and they are ready for it.”
Artists Comert, Xana Zezê, Hozan Şemdin, Nasır Rezazi, Zozan, Xelil Xemgin, Diyar and Necmettin Xulami took to the state and gave their messages for national unity before their performance.
