KCDK-E calls for participation in 32nd International Kurdish Cultural Festival in Frankfurt

The European umbrella organization of the Kurdish diaspora, KCDK-E, called on Kurds across Europe to go to Frankfurt am Main on 21 September for the 32nd international Kurdish Cultural Festival.

The 32nd International Kurdish Cultural Festival will take place in Frankfurt am Main on 21 September. The Kurdish European umbrella organization KCDK-E called for broad participation in the event. Participants from northern France, Austria, Germany, Switzerland, the Netherlands and Belgium will arrive by bus.

The Kurdish Cultural Festival is particularly important this year because the Turkish state has intensified its attacks on Kurdish culture. The KCDK-E said in a statement: "At a time when our dances are banned and there is no longer any tolerance for speaking or singing in Kurdish, the Kurdish people are more than ever standing up for their culture and history and defending them against the fascist, racist and monistic mentality."

Resistance everywhere

In the face of the threat of cultural and political annihilation, the Kurdish people have developed a strong bond with freedom through Abdullah Öcalan. The KCDK-E said: "The Kurdish people and their friends, united by the apoist paradigm, stand against the fascist Turkish state. The state is shocked by the national stance of the Kurds and is using massacres, racism and all means against the civilian population. But the Kurdish people and their friends continue to turn every place into a battlefield."

Program from all four parts of Kurdistan

The festival organizers said: "The festival offers a rich cultural and artistic program with speakers from four parts of Kurdistan. It will be a national and cultural celebration and send a message of national unity against colonialism. The Kurdish people will express their will with messages of national unity and resistance against the colonialists, their supporters, the international forces and betrayal."

Technical preparations are complete

Exhibitions by numerous writers, Kurdish costumes, art and various activities for children will be a special feature of the festival. All technical preparations have been completed and tickets sell fast. Buses have been booked in many cities of Europe. The KCDK-E said: "We appeal to our people to be ready on time at the designated departure points. Everyone can find out the departure times of the buses at the nearest Kurdish centers. We are confident that everyone will show responsibility to ensure that the festival runs smoothly, safely and beneficially and achieves its goals.

We call on all our people to participate in the festival wearing their national costumes and national colors. We invite all revolutionaries, democrats and people who want peace to participate in the festival in the spirit of common resistance."
