‘Freedom for Abdullah Öcalan’ concert in Italy
A big concert will be organised this evening to relaunch the call for freedom for Kurdish People's Leader Abdullah Öcalan and to provide an authentic experience of Kurdish culture.
A big concert will be organised this evening to relaunch the call for freedom for Kurdish People's Leader Abdullah Öcalan and to provide an authentic experience of Kurdish culture.
A concert by artists Farqin Azad, Hecî Karakas, Mustafa Demir and Aziz Yigit will take place in Rome this evening to give an authentic experience of Kurdish culture and tradition.
According to the newspaper La Repubblica, ‘it is not just another concert’. It is also intended to relaunch the call for an end to the isolation of Kurdish leader Abdullah Öcalan.
According to the report, artists will perform ‘to once again launch the call for the release of Abdullah Öcalan, which is supported by more than 60 Nobel Peace Prize winners, including Argentine former political prisoner Adolfo Perez Esquivel’.
The concert will take place on Thursday 25 July at 21:00 at Casilino Sky Park, Viale della Bella Villa 106. Admission is €7 and pre-sale passes are on sale at Bazar Taverna Curdo Meticcia, Casilina 607.
The evening is organised by Ararat Kurdish Cultural Centre, Kurdistan Network Italy and Kurdistan Information Office Italy, Uiki.
