Christians in Kirkuk celebrated the birth of Jesus during the mass they held in Gorgies Church. A committee of the Free Society Movement (Tevgera Azadi) Kirkuk Provincial Organization attended the mass.
Margo Gorgies Assyrian Church’s Pries Gorgies Yusuf said the following to ANF: “Today is the birthday of Prophet Jesus. Today is a day of helping each other. Many Christians participated in the mass for Jesus’ birthday. I congratulate everyone, wish them health, and wish that peace and fraternity return to Iraq. The people of Iraq have had many difficulties due to the war, and I congratulate them all.
Çarlıs Şima also wished a merry Christmas to the people of Kirkuk and Kurdistan, and said that everyone should live freely and no faith or ethnicity should be discriminated against in today’s world.
Zeki Şurişo said that it was a great feeling to be celebrating Christmas, and wished that this day bring peace and happiness to the people of the region.
Lastly, Juliana Fuad celebrated the Christmas of Christians across the world and expressed her wish that this holiday brings an end to war and death in the Middle East.
