Artist Seîd Gabarî passed away in Hewlêr
Artist Seîd Gabarî died at the age of 64 in the city of Hewlêr in the Federal Kurdistan region where he was undergoing treatment for lung cancer.
Famous Kurdish artist Gabarî was undergoing treatment at Serdem Hospital in Hewlêr for a few days.
Relatives said that the artist died at 4.45 today at Serdem Hospital.
Seîd Gabarî was born in Hesekê, Rojava, in 1956. He started playing music under the influence of Kurdish poets Tîrêj and Cegerxwîn. Gabarî put music to many of the poems of both poets.
