7th Gathering of writers kicks off tomorrow in Tabqa

The Tabqa Culture and Arts Council is preparing to organize the 7th Gathering of writers tomorrow, 10 September. The meeting will last 3 days, and will be attended by more than 40 writers from across the region.

The Tabqa Culture and Arts Council is finalizing preparation for the 7th Gathering of Writers. The aim of the meeting is to ensure that literature achievements have a stronger place in social life. The meeting will start tomorrow, 10 September, at the Martyr Mesena Ebdulkerîm Culture and Arts Center in Tabqa, and will continue for three days. More than 40 writers from across Northern and Eastern Syria will attend the meeting.

Tabqa Canton Culture and Arts Council co-chair, Elî El Elaya, told ANHA that "fFor three days, there will be Kurdish and Arabic poetry and fairy tale readings, as well as artistic events. Additionally, panels will be held on cultural and artistic issues in Northern and Eastern Syria. An award will also be given to the family of literary figure Fewziye El Mirî, who passed away on 18 March this year."

The first Literary Gathering was held in 2018.
