'Urban consensus' wins in Esenyurt

In Esenyurt, 99 percent of the ballot boxes were opened and CHP candidate Ahmet Özer, supported by the DEM Party on the basis of "urban consensus", won.
With 99 percent of the ballot boxes opened in Esenyurt, one of the largest districts of Istanbul, CHP candidate Ahmet Özer emerged as the winner. The CHP was supported by the People's Equality and Democracy Party (DEM Party) on the basis of "urban consensus", and got 50.09 percent.
The AKP emerged as the second party in the ballot boxes with 39.94 percent of the votes.
Even though the ballot box results have not been finalized, celebrations started in the district as CHP candidate Ahmet Özer was ahead by a wide margin.
