DEM Party wins 7 municipalities in Urfa
In Urfa, the DEM Party achieved one of the most successful results in recent times and won 7 municipalities.
According to almost final election results, the DEM Party achieved the greatest success of the Kurdish political movement, by winning 7 district municipalities in Urfa (Riha).
Among the municipalities won are Curnê Reş (Hilvan), which Kurdish politics has not won since 1979, and Berecûk (Birecik), which has never been won before.
The other municipalities won are Suruç, Bozova, Viransheir, Ceylanpinar and Halfeti.
